Stay Analog is a record shop, a small line of everyday goods, and a quiet argument: the best moments still happen offline.
In 2020, during Singapore's Circuit Breaker, we were all connected all the time. Work on video calls, friends on video calls, the news on a loop, and more scrolling to fill whatever was left of the day. As a designer, I've spent my career building for screens. Suddenly they were the only window we had.
Around me, people I cared about were struggling with their mental health. We were more connected than ever, and somehow further apart, comparing our days indoors with the highlight reels everyone else was posting. Those posts were never the full picture.
Then I put on Fantastic 2020 Vol. 1 by Slum Village and Abstract Orchestra and listened from the first track to the last. No skipping, no switching albums, no phone. That's when it clicked: slowing down wasn't a luxury. It was the thing we were all missing.
The record that started it. Press play on track one and let it run to the end.
So I started Fat Kid Records to share the music that was helping me slow down: records you play end to end, instead of chasing the instant hit of a play button. Over time it grew into something bigger. Stay Analog is now the home for all of it: records, books, coffee, a walk with your phone left at home, and the people you share them with.
We're not against technology. You probably found us on a screen. We just think the best part of life happens after you put it down.
— Estuardo, founder
Music meant to be felt, not skipped.
We're a small, independent shop based in Singapore, and every order ships locally.
Alongside the records we make a few everyday things (tees, caps, a ceramic cup for your morning coffee), each carrying the same idea: stay analog.
